Joule Thomson. The Joule Thomson effect (also known as the Joule-Kelvin effect) is the change in temperature that occurs when a gas expands from a high pressure area to a low pressure area, such as across a valve. In the case of a hydrocarbon gas, a significant temperature drop can be experienced.

Junk

Any small unwanted object “lost” down a well. Junk may be a lost bit, milled pieces of pipe, wrenches or any relatively small object that must be fished out off he hole.
